From Athlete to Product Manager

 

My experience as a Division I and Professional Athlete taught me how to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where adaptability, teamwork and strategy make all the difference. That same drive to perform and lead with purpose naturally drew me to product management, where I could channel that same energy into building impactful, user-centric solutions.

Similar to sports, success in product management has never been a personal performance. It has been strong communication, supporting collaboration, and inspiring each other to work hard towards a shared goal. I enjoy building relationships both internally and externally and have found that the best products are built when diverse perspectives are heard and respected.

What motivates me

 

​I view product management as a puzzle, one that challenges me to uncover real pain points, evaluate solutions, and build products that create meaningful business and user impact. What excites me the most is the intersection of creativity and data: using insights, experimentation and AI-driven intelligence to guide smarter decisions and accelerate innovation.

​

Equally motivating is the collaboration behind it all. I thrive on connecting deeply with both my teams and users. Understanding their needs, challenges and aspirations and being able to translate those insights into solutions is what truly motivates me to be successful in product management.

What I do outside of work

 

I thrive on movement and the outdoors. I spend my downtime time training for half/full marathons, hiking, swimming, master's water polo, and walking my 1-year old rescue pup, Mudd. I am a coffee enthusiast, mental health advocate and a small business owner (check out my art here)
